I had the good fortune to work with Anne Keating and Jimmy Craig to sell my home in Atlanta. I approached the process with a good deal of trepidation as I was no longer living in Atlanta and was certain that trying to accomplish this from several states away was going to be an extremely daunting task. In addition, I had been renting the house for two years prior to putting in on the market and knew that it was going to be necessary to do some work to get it ready to show.

Although I was able to be in Atlanta to arrange for some of these projects, many of them needed to occur after I returned home. Anne and Jimmy arranged for appraisals, coordinated contractor access to the house, and carefully monitored the ongoing work, providing me with frequent reports and making sure that everything was proceeding smoothly. They went way beyond what I could have expected at so many points. Anne helped me identify several options to sell unwanted furniture and juggled delivery person schedules to move it out of the house prior to closing. In the week just before our proposed listing date, a large tree fell onto my yard from the property across the street. Somehow Jimmy managed to get a tree service out there in less than 24 hours (during a hectic post-storm period in Atlanta when services were in hot demand) and we moved forward with the listing without delay.
Our decision to put the house on the market came at a fairly volatile time in the housing market. Anne and Jimmy gathered and analyzed comps at three different points in time leading up to the listing, to be sure that we were considering the most current and comprehensive information in our pricing decision. They consistently gave solid advice and were able to clearly articulate the pros and cons of possible decisions, but never made me feel pressured to take a particular course of action.
Anne and Jimmy’s sage advice was even more valuable as we considered offers. We had the good fortune to receive six offers on our house in the first 48 hours after listing, confirming that their recommendations about how to prepare the house for sale were right on the mark. Their guidance during the negotiation period helped reduce my anxiety and left me feeling confident in the decisions that needed to be made. So much easier that any of my previous experiences in selling a home. Perhaps most importantly, Anne and Jimmy are not only extremely competent, they are also delightful people who are a pleasure to interact with.
